Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you be met and transferred to Imbabala Safari Lodge. Imbabala is a small unpretentious safari lodge offering a true “African Safari Experience” on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River.

Early morning game drive, Brunch at Imbabala. Guests are collected by Wild Horizon for their Upper Zambezi Canoeing Safari. After a game drive through the Zambezi National Park, guests arrive at our riverside camp. The guide will give a thorough briefing, which will cover; conditions of the river and rapids, canoeing instruction, safety and general information. Clients will be asked to sign an indemnity form. The afternoon is spent canoeing the Zambezi Rapids.

Overnight camping on the banks of the Zambezi River (meals, limited drinks and camping equipment included).A full English Breakfast is served in the morning before an hour game drive upstream to the put- in point. Today is spent canoeing – (18kms) – downstream, running small grade one and two rapids, exploring channels and bird and game viewing. This day includes the Sansimba rapids. A picnic lunch is served on the mainland or an island.
A delightful English breakfast is served, after which you’ll board your canoes and the day is spent canoeing another 18 kms downstream to the mighty Victoria Falls. Rapids canoed today include the “Kandahar Rapids”. The scenery, channels and the rapids on both respective days are very different. Cold minerals & beers are served at the end of the canoe safari. You will be transferred the short distance back to Victoria Falls and arrive at The Elephant Camp in the late afternoon. This afternoon you will enjoy an interaction with elephants.

Breakfast at The Elephant Camp, and followed by a morning Tour of the Falls.The Tour of Victoria Falls is approximately a 1-1/2 hour guided tour through the Rainforest along a 1.7km ramble. After a briefing and explanation of the Falls,the guide accompanies you along the scenic pathways, stopping at numerous viewpoints to gaze at the Falls. The Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.David Livingstone was the first European to visit the Falls, and named it after Queen Victoria. To the locals, it is known as “Mosi oa Tunya” – The Smoke that Thunders – an accurate description of what happens when the waters of the Zambezi River plunge over the 1700 metre wide and 100-metre deep chasm, creating a shower of spray and a deafening noise.
