The package is more focused on the great Wildlife Sanctuaries of Zambia and you will get a chance to experience one of the best walking safari activities in Zambia where walking safari was initiated by the Legend Norman Carr. This is the perfect safari package for wildlife safari enthusiasts and it is an itinerary that allows guests to see a lot of wildlife (animals and birds during your trip).
Established in 1988, this lush oasis began as a family owned home with 38 rooms – the lodge has since been under the same ownership. Eighteen years later, Palmwood continues to exist with exponential growth, expanding to reach to guests from both within Zambia and all over the world. Only a 26 minute drive from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, visitors enjoy Palmwood Lodge’s hospitality, personalized service and exquisite atmosphere, taking them to a paradise far away from life at home.
An oasis within the busy Zambian capital, Lusaka, this beautiful lodge makes it easy to escape the noise. Though Palmwood is centrally located, 5 hectares of lush garden, different tree types and exotic flowers makes this easy to forget.
With our additional amenities aiming to make your stay that much more relaxing, we are positive you will get the ultimate Zambian countryside experience you deserve.

After breakfast on this day your driver will transfer you from Mukambi Safari Lodge to Lusaka Airport where you will connect from Lusaka To Mfuwe in the South Luangwa National Park. Uppon arrival at Mfuwe Airport, your safari guide from Wildlife Camp will welcome you, help you with your luggae and transfer you to Wildlife Camp – during your airport transfer will be interested as you will pass through some villages.
The South Luangwa National Park marks the end of the Great Rift Valley, one of the last remaining unspoilt wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa.
It is through this that the great meandering Luangwa river runs, with its ox bow lagoons, riverine supported woodlands and large plains, all of which play host to huge concentrations of game including elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe, hippo and over 450 species of birds.
Luangwa River Camp sits nestled under an ancient ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking the game rich area known as the Luangwa Wafwa.
This small and intimate camp with just five bush suites, along with its setting and location creates a real “wow” factor and a romantic feeling simply flows through the camp.
