The a’Zambezi River Lodge is, as its name indicates, on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. It is one of a handful of lodges in the Victoria Falls region that is situated on the banks of the Zambezi, one of Africa’s giant rivers.

The Amulonga Restaurant at the a’Zambezi River Lodge is famous for its interesting menu – a delicious variety of international favourites and African traditional food. Each night guests are treated to the rhythms and music of African dancers and musicians. The Kuzhe Bush Dinner is a special treat where guests learn more about the Tonga people and their connection with the Zambezi River. The Safari Bar, right next to the swimming pool, as well as the cocktail bar offer drinks to quench any thirst.
The a’Zambezi River Lodge offers activities that will keep you busy from morning to night. A sunset cruise on the Zambezi River is one of life’s rare pleasures not to be missed and leaves from the Lodge. At the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, a number of companies offer activities to suit even the most hardened of adrenalin junkies. There are light aircraft flips across the Falls, white river rafting and kayaking on the Zambezi River, bungi jumping from the Victoria Falls bridge (for the brave ones), an elephant ride, or a swim in the ‘Devil’s Pool’ (a small rock pool right on the ‘lip’ of the Victoria Falls). If you survive the latter without turning grey, perhaps you have the heart of a robot!
