Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Sir Seretse Khama Airport

Day 2: Full Day Art & Craft Tour

The tour starts at 8 am, visit Phuthadikobo Museum, in Mochudi, learn the history of the Bakgatla Tribe, visit the Oodi Weavers, which is a weaving workshop for the local women of the village, come back into the Capital city, enjoy your lunch at a local craft shop.
After lunch the tour continues as you visit the Gabane Village and view how locals do pottery, after the pottery workshop, you visit Mma Sechele Monument in Manyana, go on a guided tour of the Ancient Rock Paintings, done by Bushmen 2000 years ago and finally visit the Dr. David Livingstones Tree, at this tree that's where the Doctor helped the villagers with a Hospital and also his school.
The tour ends by passing farmlands as the road leads back to the Capital City, arrive at your hotel just before sunset.

Day 3: Gaborone City Tour

The tour starts at 8a, visit the 3 Chiefs Monument, Government Enclave, and go back to your lodge for lunch after lunch visit the Gaborone Game Reserve

Day 4: Ranaka

Leave Gaborone at 9.30 am and arrive at our host family in Ranaka Village. Ranaka Village is our starting point of the village trek. Upon arrival meet your host and your guides, after a 1-hour rest visit the Kgotla and meet the Chief of the Area.
After the village tour goes back and sees how your dinner is prepared, on this day you will taste a locally prepared meal and also you can take part in preparing the meal. After dinner, enjoy storytelling with the elder of the house, as you view the African Sky full of stars. your guide will arrange a time with you for a morning call on the next day.

Day 5: Seretologane

Breakfast will be ready at 6.30 am, On this Day you do a 14km walk, to your next destination, which is a Cattle Post called Seretologane.
At the start of the trek is a beautiful Gorge, which you walk along to the top of the hill, and when very lucky you will find rock dassies and monkeys on the way. on the other side of the hill is grazing lands and farmlands. Have a lunch snack along the way as you rest under a Morula tree well known to produce fruits that make the Amarula beer. Arrive at the cattle post just after lunch. Have a rest and do activities such as taking the donkey cut to fetch firewood, and collect the goats.
All Camping equipment will be provided for those wanting to camp and locally mud huts are available for those intending to experience a night slip in a mud hut.

Day 6: Gaborone

Wake up about 7 am, you can have a chance to milk the goat. Have your Breakfast. After breakfast take a 2km walk across the river and your transport will be waiting for you, to pick you up back to Gaborone. Rest the Day.

Day 7: Kaudwane

8 am Leave for Kaudwane, Arrive at the camp just before lunch. Meet Your Bushmen Guides and Set up Camp. Rest the day.

Day 8: Nature Walk

After breakfast prepare for a nature walk. Have a break during the walk when everyone sits down to watch a survival technique demonstration. Duration of nature walkabout 3hours but most of the time is spent watching demonstrations. Return back to base camp for lunch.
After lunch, demos of bush survival techniques, ie making string, setting a trap, ‘Robi’, making a bow and arrows, making bracelets, making a digging stick, a hunting spear, archery, spear throwing, ambush, etc Team divides into groups to practice these activities helped by the Bushmen. After dinner around the campfire story sharing with the guides. Discuss with the teams the schedule and set times for day8. Make a small fire and extinguish it before bed.

Day 9: Exploring

Fill all water containers for cooking & drinking. Walk-in single file behind the guides, keep together and keep close to guides to hear explanations. Walk-in one group. This is a nomadic hunter/gatherer walking experience. The guides look for further food/medicinal plants while walking and the stops to dig these up to serve as rest breaks.
By 2 pm find a suitable spot with materials for building a guide sleeping hut. Rake the site before the group enters it in case of snakes.
The team divides into 4 for grass collecting, pole cutting, rope making, digging the holes for the poles. Later, collect firewood, set a trap, and try animal tracking and hunting. Discuss with the teams the schedule and set times for day9. Make a small fire and extinguish it.

Day 10: Survival Challenge Exercise

Survival challenge exercise: 10-minute navigation practice in pairs, Wheel spokes 5minutes out, 5minutes back. Each pair has a whistle. Put up a flag pole/ garment on the vehicle roof. Useful plant collecting; Working in pairs Wheel spokes so they do not follow each other, 30mins to bring back all the plant samples they can recognize. Keep the flag in sight. One pair at a time takes the samples to the senior Bushman guide for checking.
The rest of the group while they are waiting to be checked try their hand at archery, spear throwing, and ‘Robi’. Awards ceremony: best spear thrower gets the spear, best archer gets the bow & arrow, Bush survival certificates for the pair with most useful plants. Later on, the day play Bushmen games, enjoy the last night with your guides.

Day 11: Khutse Game Reserve

6 am, go on a game drive inside Khutse Game Reserve, You will be surprised at how some of the Animals here survive in the harsh conditions of the Kalahari Desert. Khutse Game Reserve is well known for its Black Manned Lions and also shares a border with the Largest Reserve in Southern Africa, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. 9 am be back at the lodge for Breakfast. After breakfast prepare to leave and arrive in Gaborone just after lunch. Rest the day.

Day 12: Francistown

Leave Gaborone at 8 am, heading north of Botswana, the road trip should last 8 hours with stops on the way, have a lunch stopover at Francistown, the second-largest city. Check-in and Rest the day. Later on, the day do a city tours of Francistown City.

Day 13: Nata

Leave Francistown in the Morning continue north, arrive in Nata. the road trip is 4 hours with stops on the way. Check in to your lodge. and later on, the day visits the Pans, arrives back at the lodge before sunset.

Day 14: Chobe National Park

Continue on the road trip to Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. A warm welcome by our representatives who will drive you to Kwalape lodge camp. Join a sunset boat cruise in the Chobe River.

Day 15: Victoria Falls Park

After a mouth-watering breakfast, you will be picked by our guide to Victoria Falls Park for a guided tour of Victoria Falls which is only 70 km from Kasane.
Upon arrival, we go into the Mosi-oa-Tunya national park to see the falls. We later go for lunch and after lunch, we will have a lot of time to do optional activities like Bunjee jumping, scenic flights, lion walks, elephant rides, rafting, or swimming with the crocodiles.
Later in the afternoon, we drive back to Kasane whereby we will drive into Chobe national park for camping. Chobe national park is one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences in Africa. It covers an area of 10,490 square kilometers and has excellent game viewing.
We do a game drive to our private campsite. On your arrival to camp, there is time for a hot bush shower before we gather for our evening meal and then move to the campfire and share stories of the day’s adventures. Retreating to the comfort of your tent you can fall asleep listening to the sounds of the African Bush.

Day 16-18: Savuti Camp - Chobe National Park

In the morning after breakfast, we move our camp from Savuti to Moremi game reserve. We do a Game drive in transit to the Xakanaxa campsite. Moremi forms part of the Okavango Delta and consists of seasonal pans, grass plains, and permanent swamps and drives that attract a multitude of wildlife and birds. Moremi covers an area of 4870 square kilometers and has excellent game viewing. The area is teeming with birdlife and wildlife.
It is a prime wildlife area where elephants, hippo, buffalo, lions, and most other games (including eland, kudu, roan antelope, and if you are lucky even leopards) can be seen in abundance. Later in the afternoon, we do a game drive around Moremi Game Reserve in search of animals.

Day 19: Maun
Day 19: Maun

In the morning after breakfast, we do a game drive in transit to Maun to mark the end of the trip. Connect with your flight back home.
